    Foundations

    • The Nomad routing library holds identities in memory, with no database on disk.
    • Every routing tag derives from one 12-word recovery phrase.

  2. 02

    Testnet: first release

    NEXT

    Target: mid-October 2026

    • The first release covers the basics. Testnet will be upgraded by hard forks as features land, before mainnet.
    • A public testnet of the Nomad node, tracking bandwidth per routing tag.
    • RPCs to read bandwidth, by tag and as a full set.
    • A testnet explorer, and builds to run your own node.
  3. 03

    Identity and apps

    After testnet

    • Apps link to Nomid and sign as their own identity, starting with Murmur.
    • Phones reach the network through ElectrumX servers that speak Roam.
    • Every identity shows its own bandwidth balance.
  4. 04

    Bandwidth

    After testnet

    • Buy bandwidth by burning NOM, credited to any public ID or identity.
    • Recharge from inside Nomid, or pay by card through the portal.
